Register:

Syntax: "vms register <username> <email> <password>"
Alternatives: "register", "reg"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - use of this command in public is a bad idea as your password will be seen by everyone in the room. The best thing to do is send it in a private message to Mechamaw. This command must be used before any other, as it is used to register an account. An example of registering would be as follows. "vms register Stampy stampy@myemailaddress.com stampypassword". Please note, your name doesn't have to match up exactly, however it must start with your name and then have some punctuation. This is to allow people to make fewer accounts when switching names. Therefore "Mawie" and "Mawie[78ft]" would both work under the name "Mawie", and "Mawie_afk" would also work under "Mawie". "MawieMawie" would not be considered the same name however, as it lacks punctuation. So if you have punctionation in your name like that, you are best of registering without the punctuation.
Example: "vms register Stampy stampy@myemailaddress.com password"

RegisterDerivative:

Syntax: "vms registerderivative <username> <baseaccount> <email> <password>"
Alternatives: "registerderivative", "regderivative", "registerchild", "regchild"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - use of this command in public is a bad idea as your password will be seen by everyone in the room. The best thing to do is send it in a private message to Mechamaw. RegisterDerivative creates an account in the same way that Register does, with one major difference. When you use this command, you create an account which derives information from the base account. This is useful if you have a character or a name which is based on another character with only a few changes. That way you don't need to fill in all the information again. If you change information in the base class changes will happen in both.
Example: "vms registerderivative Megamawie Mawie stampy@myemailaddress.com password"

LogIn:

Syntax: "vms login <password>"
Alternatives: "login", "signin"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - use of this command in public is a bad idea as your password will be seen by everyone in the room. The best thing to do is send it in a private message to Mechamaw.To use vms functions after registering, you need to log in using your password. Please note, you do not need to specify a username. If VMS tells you your passwords are matching, please make sure you haven't specified your username. If you have forgotten your username you can use "vms sendrecoveryemail <emailaddress>" to recover it. You will remain logged in as long as your netmask is the same.
Example: "vms login password"

LogOut:

Syntax: "vms logout"
Alternatives: "logout", "signout", "logoff", "signoff"
Usage: Logging out is optional, but if you are on a shared computer and don't want someone else to change your information you can log out. You don't need to supply any parameters at all to logout. You cannot edit your account in any way while logged out.
Example: "vms logout"

Unregister:

Syntax: "vms unregister <password>"
Alternatives: "unregister", "unreg", "delete"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - use of this command in public is a bad idea as your password will be seen by everyone in the room. The best thing to do is send it in a private message to Mechamaw. If you want to delete your VMS account, you can use VMS unregister to delete the account.
Example: "vms unregister password"

SendRecoveryEmail:

Syntax: "vms sendrecoveryemail <emailaddress>"
Alternatives: "sendrecoveryemail"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - if you have forgotten your password but are still logged in, you don't need to use this function, just use "vms changepassword <newpassword>". If you are logged out and can't remember your password, however, you can use this function to send an email telling you how to recover your password. The email address here must match the email address you registered with.
Example: "vms sendrecoveryemail stampy@myemailaddress.com"

ChangePassword:

Syntax: "vms changepassword <newpassword>
Alternatives: "changepassword", "setpassword"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - use of this command in public is a bad idea as your password will be seen by everyone in the room. The best thing to do is send it in a private message to Mechamaw. Also, you can only change your password if you are logged in. You can use this function to change the password for your account.
Example: "vms changepassword mynewpassword"

ResetPassword:

Syntax: vms resetpassword <code> <newpassword>
Alternatives: "resetpassword", "recoverpassword"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - use of this command in public is a bad idea as your password will be seen by everyone in the room. The best thing to do is send it in a private message to Mechamaw. This function is used to reset your password once you have a password reset code sent to you via email.
Example: "vms resetpassword 8f1d7854beaa1faadfdc93826a42bc39456e450f6134c14a1aaf12d04fa5ad1c <newpassword>"

ChangeEmail:

Syntax: vms changeemail <newemailaddress>
Alternatives: "changeemail", "setemail", "changeemailaddress", "setemailaddress"
Usage: Changes your email address that you are registered with. Your email address is only used to recover your password if its forgotten.
Example: vms changeemail stampy@mynewemailaddress.com

AmILoggedIn:

Syntax: "vms AmILoggedIn"
Alternatives: "amiloggedin", "amisignedin"
Usage: Tells you whether or not you are currently logged in and also which account you are logged into as while your name might be "Mawie[150ft]" you could still be logged into "Mawie".
Example: "vms amiloggedin"

AmILoggedOut:

Syntax: "vms AmILoggedOut"
Alternatives: "amiloggedout", "amisignedout"
Usage: Tells you if you are logged out or not.
Example: "vms amiloggedout"

Help:

Syntax: "vms help" or "vms help <helptopic>"
Alternatives: "help", "?"
Usage: VMS help displays help on other VMS topics. You can use "vms help" to bring up a list of commands, or "vms help <topic>" to bring up help on a given topic.
Example: "vms help setsize"

WhoAmI:

Syntax: "vms whoami"
Alternatives: "whoami", "me"
Usage: You can use "vms whoami" to get all the information stored about you on the database. To get information about someone else use "vms whois <user>" You can also use "vms get<thingyouwant> <user>" to get information. For example, "vms getheight" will get your height. "vms getweight Mawie" will get Mawie's weight.
Example: "vms whoami"

WhoIs:

Syntax: "vms whois <user>"
Alternatives: "whois"
Usage: Returns information on a specific user. You can also use "vms get<thingyouwant> <user>" to get information. For example, "vms getheight <user>" will get someone else's height. "vms getweight Mawie" will get Mawie's weight.
Example: "vms whois Mawie"

LastSeen:

Syntax: "vms lastseen <user>"
Alternatives: "last, seen"
Usage: Tells the user when another person was last seen by Mechamaw. Please note, that this is from the last message that Mechamaw has seen a user type.
Example: "vms lastseen Mawie"

SetHeight:

Syntax: "vms setheight <height> <units> [<height> <units>](...)"
Alternatives: "setheight", "setsize"
Usage: vms setheight sets your current height. This is done by typing "vms setheight 60ft" for example. In VMS you can now use composite heights. For example "vms setheight 6ft 2in" is valid. The valid units are as follows: Micrometres, Millimetres, Centimetres, Metres, Kilometres, Inches, Feet, Yards, Miles, AstronomicalUnits, LightYears, Parsecs, Kiloparsecs, and Gigaparsecs. Your size will be overriden if you have a size in your name tag. For example, if your name is Mawie[200ft] and you set your height to be 100ft, you will still show up as being 200ft, as that's what your name says.
Example: "vms setheight 78ft 2in"

DeriveHeight:

Syntax: "vms deriveheight"
Alternatives: "deriveheight", "derivesize"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - All Derive functions are only useful if you have a derivative account. If you set your height to something using "vms setheight" on your derived account, and want it to derive from the parent account again, use this function.
Example: "vms deriveheight"

RandomHeight:

Syntax: "vms RandomHeight <height><units>[<height> <units>](...),<height><units>[<height> <units>](...)
Alternatives: "randomheight", "randomsize", "randheight", "randsize"
Usage: Assigns your character a random height between two given heights. Please note that like all heights in VMS they can now be composite units. So "vms setheight 20ft1in, 20ft2in" would pick a random height between those two heights. The comma is required because of this.
Example: "vms randomheight 20ft, 60ft"

RandomSizeInteger:

Syntax: "vms RandomSizeInteger <height><units>[<height> <units>](...),<height><units>[<height> <units>](...)
Alternatives: "randomsizeinteger", "randomheightinteger", "randsizeinteger", "randheightinteger", "randomsizeint", "randomheightint", "randsizeint", "randheightint", "rsi", "rhi"
Usage: Assigns your character a random height between two given heights, where the number returned is an integer, eg "57ft". Please note that like all heights in VMS they can now be composite units. So "vms setheight 10ft1in, 20ft2in" would pick a random height between those two heights. The comma is required because of this.
Example: "vms randomsizeinteger 20ft, 60ft"

RandomHeightFromList:

Syntax: "vms RandomHeightFromList: <height><units>[<height> <units>](...),<height><units>[<height> <units>](...),(...)
Alternatives: "randomsizefromlist", "randomheightfromlist", "randsizefromlist", "randheightfromlist"
Usage: Assigns your character a random height from a user provided list of heights.
Example: "vms randomheightfromlist 20ft, 60ft, 80ft, 3miles"

GetHeight:

Syntax: "vms getheight <user>"
Alternatives: "getheight", "getheightof", "checkheight", "checkheightof", "getsize", "getsizeof", "checksize", "checksizeof"
Usage: Gets the height of a given character. If you do not specify someone's name, it will return your own height.
Example: "vms getheight Mawie"

GetRelativeHeight:

Syntax: "vms getrelativeheight <user> (<bodypart>), ((<user>)(<bodypart>))
Alternatives: "getrelativeheight", "getrelativesize", "relativeheight", "relativesize"
Usage: You can use getrelativeheight to return an estimate at how big another character, or character's body part would look from another's perspective. For example, typing "vms getrelativeheight Mawie, Vapour" will return how big Mawie looks to Vapour, how big Vapour looks to Mawie, and also how much bigger Vapour is than Mawie. To compare against body parts add them before the user. For example "vms getrelativesize Mawie, Pawheight Erika" would return how big Erika's paws are from Mawie's perspective, and also how many times bigger than her they are.
Example: "vms getrelativeheight Mawie Vapour"

ConvertCharHeight:

Syntax: "vms convertcharheight <units>"
Alternatives: "convertcharsize", "convertcharheight"
Usage: Converts your size on VMS to a different unit. The valid units are as follows: Micrometres, Millimetres, Centimetres, Metres, Kilometres, Inches, Feet, Yards, Miles, AstronomicalUnits, LightYears, Parsecs, Kiloparsecs, and Gigaparsecs.
Example: "vms convertcharheight m"

ConvertHeight:

Syntax: "vms convertheight <height><units>[<height> <units>](...),<units>"
Alternatives: "convertsize", "convertheight"
Usage: Converts an arbitrary height into another unit. The valid units are as follows: Micrometres, Millimetres, Centimetres, Metres, Kilometres, Inches, Feet, Yards, Miles, AstronomicalUnits, LightYears, Parsecs, Kiloparsecs, and Gigaparsecs.
Example: "vms convertheight 200 metres 3cm, feet "

SetBaseHeight:

Syntax: "vms setbaseheight <height> <units> [<height> <units>](...)"
Alternatives: "setbaseheight", "setbasesize"
Usage: The base height of your character is used to calculate your weight. The idea being that you supply a height at which you know your character's weight. So if you know your character is 68kg at 178cm use those as the baseheight and weight. Then no matter what you change your height to, your height can be calculated using "vms getweight".
Example: "setbaseheight 180cm"

GetBaseHeight:

Syntax: "vms getbaseheight <user>"
Alternatives: "getbaseheight", "getbaseheightof", "checkbaseheight", "checkbaseheightof", "getbasesize", "getbasesizeof", "checkbasesize", "checkbasesizeof"
Usage: Gets the baseheight of a given character. If you do not specify someone's name, it will return your own baseheight.
Example: "getbaseheight Mawie"

Syntax: "vms convertbaseheight <units>"
Alternatives: "convertbasesize", "convertbaseheight"
Usage: Converts your baseheight on VMS to a different unit. The valid units are as follows: Micrometres, Millimetres, Centimetres, Metres, Kilometres, Inches, Feet, Yards, Miles, AstronomicalUnits, LightYears, Parsecs, Kiloparsecs, and Gigaparsecs.
Example: "vms convertbaseheight m"

Usage: Converts an arbitrary weight into another unit. The valid units for weight are as follows: "nanograms, micrograms, milligrams, grams, kilograms, tonnes, kilotonnes, megatonnes, gigatonnes, teratonnes, petatonnes, exatonnes, zettatonnes, yottatonnes"
Example: "vms convertweight 60 kilograms 15 grams, lbs"

GetWeight:

Syntax: "vms getweight <user>"
Alternatives: "getweight", "getweightof", "checkweight", "checkweightof"
Usage: Gets the weight of the given character, or if no name was supplied, returns your own weight. Weights in VMS are automatically calculated so whenever you change your height, your weight will be automatically adjusted. Also, please note you can also use "vms getweight Mawie[100ft]" for example, to get the height of a character at a height they are currently not.
Example: "getweight Mawie"

SetGender:

Syntax: "vms setgender <gender>"
Alternatives: "setgender"
Usage: Sets the gender of your character. Male, Female, Herm, None, and Unspecified are the valid options.
Example: "vms setgender male"

GetGender:

Syntax: "vms getgender <user>"
Alternatives: "getgender", "checkgender"
Usage: Gets the gender of the given character, or if no name was supplied, returns your own gender.
Example: "vms getgender Stampy"

DeriveGender:

Syntax: "vms derivegender"
Alternatives: "derivegender"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - All Derive functions are only useful if you have a derivative account. If you set your gender to something using "vms setgender" on your derived account, and want it to derive from the parent account again, use this function.
Example: "vms derivegender"

SetSpecies:

Syntax: "vms setspecies <species>"
Alternatives: "setspecies"
Usage: Sets the species of your character. You can put whatever you want here as the species doesn't actually do anything. It is merely an easy way for people to see what species you are.
Example: "vms setspecies Dragon"

GetSpecies:

Syntax: "vms getspecies <user>"
Alternatives: "getspecies", "checkspecies"
Usage: Gets the species of the given character, or if no name was supplied, returns your own species.
Example: "vms getspecies Stampy"

DeriveSpecies:

Syntax: "vms derivespecies"
Alternatives: "derivespecies"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - All Derive functions are only useful if you have a derivative account. If you set your species to something using "vms setspecies" on your derived account, and want it to derive from the parent account again, use this function.
Example: "vms derivespecies"

SetBio:

Syntax: "vms setbio <bio>"
Alternatives: "setbio", "setbiography"
Usage: Sets the bio of your character. The biography should be a short description about your character. It needs to be shorter than IRC's max message length, which is around 450-500 characters.
Example: "vms setbio Stampy is an anthropomorphic land dragon, mostly red in colour with a white front. Though it has happened before, he is not normally macro, and can usually be seen around 6ft tall"

GetBio:

Syntax: "vms getbio <user>"
Alternatives: "getbio", "checkbio", "getbiography", "checkbiography"
Usage: Gets the bio of the given character, or if no name was supplied, returns your own bio.
Example: "vms getbio Stampy"

DeriveBio:

Syntax: "vms derivebio"
Alternatives: "derivebio"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - All Derive functions are only useful if you have a derivative account. If you set your bio to something using "vms setbio" on your derived account, and want it to derive from the parent account again, use this function.
Example: "vms derivebio"

SetItem:

Syntax: "vms setitem <item>"
Alternatives: "setitem"
Usage: Sets the item of your character. Your character's item is one which you want to show up at all times on VMS alongside you. It must be a registered account for linking to be successful. This item will show up as "X's Y" where X is the name of your character, and Y is the name of your item.
Example: "vms setitem Scythe"

GetItem:

Syntax: "vms getitem <user>"
Alternatives: "getitem", "checkitem"
Usage: Gets the item of the given character, or if no name was supplied, returns your own item. Your character's item is one which you want to show up at all times on VMS alongside you. It must be a registered account for linking to be successful. This item will show up as "X's Y" where X is the name of your character, and Y is the name of your item.
Example: "vms getitem Stampy"

DeriveItem:

Syntax: "vms deriveitem"
Alternatives: "deriveitem"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - All Derive functions are only useful if you have a derivative account. If you set your item to something using "vms setitem" on your derived account, and want it to derive from the parent account again, use this function.
Example: "vms deriveitem"

SetFurbaseID:

Syntax: "vms setfurbaseID <furbaseID>"
Alternatives: "setfurbaseid", "setfurbase"
Usage: Sets the furbaseID of your character. You can get your furbase ID by finding your furbase account and taking the ID at the end. For example, Mawie's account is http://furbase.bigfurs.com/display.php?id=3106 so her ID would be 3106.
Example: "vms setfurbaseID 3106"

GetFurbaseID:

Syntax: "vms getfurbaseID <user>"
Alternatives: "getfurbaseid", "checkfurbaseid", "getfurbase", "checkfurbase"
Usage: Gets the furbase link of the given character, or if no name was supplied, returns your own furbase link.
Example: "vms getfurbaseID Stampy"

DeriveFurbaseID:

Syntax: "vms derivefurbaseID"
Alternatives: "derivefurbaseid", "derivefurbase"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - All Derive functions are only useful if you have a derivative account. If you set your furbaseID to something using "vms setfurbaseID" on your derived account, and want it to derive from the parent account again, use this function.
Example: "vms derivefurbaseID"

SetColour:

Syntax: "vms setcolour <R> <G> <B>"
Alternatives: "setcolour", "setcolor"
Usage: Sets the colour of your character. This is the colour your character will show up as on VMS. The correct syntax is "vms setcolour <R> <G> <B>" where each parameter is between 0 and 255. If you prefer hexadecimal, you can use "vms setcolourhex" instead.
Example: "vms setcolourhex 2D4D7B"

SetColourHex:

Syntax: "vms setcolourhex <RGB>[or <R> <G> <B>]"
Alternatives: ""setcolourhex", "setcolorhex"
Usage: Sets the colour of your character using hex values. This is the colour your character will show up as on VMS. The correct syntax is "vms setcolour <R> <G> <B>" where each parameter is between 0 and FF. If you prefer decimal, you can use "vms setcolour" instead.
Example: "vms setcolour 45 77 123"

GetColour:

Syntax: "vms getcolour <user>"
Alternatives: "getcolour", "checkcolour", "getcolor", "checkcolor"
Usage: Gets the colour of the given character, or if no name was supplied, returns your own colour.
Example: "vms getcolour Stampy"

DeriveColour:

Syntax: "vms derivecolour"
Alternatives: "derivecolour", "derivecolor"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - All Derive functions are only useful if you have a derivative account. If you set your colour to something using "vms setcolour" on your derived account, and want it to derive from the parent account again, use this function.
Example: "vms derivecolour"

SetVMSmodel:

Syntax: "vms setvmsmodel <vmsmodel>"
Alternatives: "setvmsmodel", "setmodel"
Usage: You can set your VMS model using this function. The name of the model must match one of the models in VMS exactly.
Example: "vms setvmsmodel Fox Female Front"

GetVMSmodel:

Syntax: "vms getvmsmodel <user>"
Alternatives:"getvmsmodel", "checkvmsmodel", "getmodel", "checkmodel"
Usage: Gets the vmsmodel of the given character, or if no name was supplied, returns your own vmsmodel.
Example: "vms getvmsmodel Stampy"

DeriveVMSmodel:

Syntax: "vms derivevmsmodel"
Alternatives: "derivemodel", "derivevmsmodel"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - All Derive functions are only useful if you have a derivative account. If you set your vmsmodel to something using "vms setvmsmodel" on your derived account, and want it to derive from the parent account again, use this function.

SetDeviantArt:

Syntax: "vms setdeviantart <DA account name>"
Alternatives: "setdeviantart", "setda", "setdeviantartaccount", "setdaaccount"
Usage: Is used to set a link to your deviant art account. You don't need to specify the whole link, just the account name.
Example: "vms setdeviantart StampyDragon"

GetDeviantArt:

Syntax: "vms getdeviantart (<user>)"
Alternatives: "getdeviantart", "getda", "getdeviantartaccount", "getdaaccount"
Usage: Will retrieve a link for someone's DA account. If you don't specify a user it will return your own.
Example: "vms getdeviantart Stampy"

DeriveDeviantArt:

Syntax: "vms derivedeviantart"
Alternatives: "derivedeviantart", "deriveda", "derivedeviantartaccount", "derivedaaccount"

Syntax: "vms setFurAffinity <DA account name>"

Usage: Is used to set a link to your furaffinity account. You don't need to specify the whole link, just the account name.
Example: "vms setfuraffinity stampydragon"

Syntax: "vms getFurAffinity (<user>)"
Alternatives: "getfuraffinity", "getda", "getfuraffinityaccount", "getfaaccount"
Usage: Will retrieve a link for someone's DA account. If you don't specify a user it will return your own.
Example: "vms getfuraffinity stampy"

DeriveFurAffinity:

Syntax: "vms deriveFurAffinity"
Alternatives: "derivefuraffinity", "deriveda", "derivefuraffinityaccount", "derivedaaccount"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - All Derive functions are only useful if you have a derivative account. If you set your FurAffinity to something using "vms setFurAffinity " on your derived account, and want it to derive from the parent account again, use this function.

SetFList:

Syntax: "vms setflist <F-List account name>"
Alternatives: "setflist", "setflistaccount"
Usage: Is used to set a link to your F-list account. You don't need to specify the whole link, just the account name.
Example: "vms setflist stampy"

GetFList:

Syntax: "vms getflist (<user>)"
Alternatives: "getflist", "getflistaccount"
Usage: Will retrieve a link for someone's F-list account. If you don't specify a user it will return your own.
Example: "vms getflist stampy"

DeriveFList:

Syntax: "vms deriveflist"
Alternatives: "deriveflist", "deriveflistaccount"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - All Derive functions are only useful if you have a derivative account. If you set your FList to something using "vms setFList " on your derived account, and want it to derive from the parent account again, use this function.
Example: "vms deriveflist"

SetHomepage:

Syntax: "vms sethomepage <Homepage>"
Alternatives: "sethomepage"
Usage: Is used to set a link to a custom website of your choice. Unlike the other links, you need to specify the entire URL.

GetHomepage:

Syntax: "vms gethomepage (<user>)"
Alternatives: "gethomepage"
Usage: Will retrieve a link for someone's homepage. If you don't specify a user it will return your own.
Example: "vms getflist stampy"

DeriveHomepage:

Syntax: "vms derivehomepage"
Alternatives: "derivehomepage"
Usage: PLEASE NOTE - All Derive functions are only useful if you have a derivative account. If you set your homepage to something using "vms homepage" on your derived account, and want it to derive from the parent account again, use this function.
Example: "vms derivehomepage"

SetBaseLength:

Syntax: "vms setbaselength <lengthname> "
Alternatives: "setbaselength", "setlength", "addbaselength", "addlength"
Usage: This function is used to set a length on your character that scales up relative to your base height. This length can be anything you want. Some examples are armlegnth, leglength, pawwidth, pawheight, pawlength, mouthdepth, walkingstride, runningstride, taillength, muzzlelength etc. You can currently add up to 15 of these to each character. To use the command type vms setbaselength <nameofthethingyouaremeasuring> <lengthofthethingyouaremeasuring>. Please note, this is assuming your base height, so add your lengths relative to their height were they not macro/micro.
Example: "vms setbaselength taillength 80cm"

GetBaseLength:
